anitaAnita Landecker is Executive Director of ExED, a non-profit organization focused on the development and management of charter schools serving our lowest income students.  For her Stanton Fellowship project, she will tackle the issue of how the Los Angeles Unified School District might be restructured to deliver consistently high quality schools and to singularly focus resources on improving the academic achievement of low-income students.


wendyWendy Lazarus is Founder & Co-President of The Children’s Partnership, a Los-Angeles based advocacy organization that works to improve children’s health as well as their educational achievement and economic opportunities through effective use of the Internet and other technology tools. She will investigate and test out how virtual currency (the money paid to buy online tools for social networking sites and games) can be tapped to support nonprofit organizations and the needs of underserved children.

steveSteve LePore is the Executive Director of 1in6, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood live healthier, happier lives. The project goal for his Stanton Fellowship is to research the strategies used to effectively address other taboo and difficult social issues, such as domestic violence, to glean how best to overcome social barriers and bring needed services to the community.


margieMargie Martinez is Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (CHAP), whose mission is to provide high quality, accessible and culturally sensitive health care and related services in an environment of care and mutual respect in the greater Pasadena area. For her Stanton project, she will examine the impact that telehealth and telemedicine could have in providing uninsured and underinsured patients in urban communities with access to primary and specialty care


jonathanJonathan Parfrey
directs the GREEN LA Institute, which provides educational and networking services for Los Angeles area environmental organizations. For his Stanton Fellowship, he will investigate national and international models of citizen action on climate change and develop a plan to enhance local action on this most pressing environmental issue.


sainzRobert Sainz is the Assistant General Manager, Operations, for the City of Los Angeles Community Development Department, which manages the City's Workforce Development System, FamilySource, as well as economic development programs.  His Stanton project will explore new models to increase high school dropout recovery by incorporating community and local government agencies, and the public and private educational agencies.
