The Durfee Foundation's American/Chinese Adventure Capital Program was created in 1985 to send students, faculty and staff from a group of Los Angeles area colleges and universities to China to pursue an avocational interest that would put them in contact with the people of China. The Foundation is pleased to announce that, effective fall of 2001, the program will be under new program management as the Avery China Adventure Program, through a partnership between the R. Stanton Avery Foundation and the California Institute of Technology. The Avery China Adventure Program will operate in essentially the same manner as the American/Chinese Adventure Capital Program, although the Durfee Foundation will no longer be involved in the program's administration.
